IEEE Smart Village - South Asia Working Group invited Proposal from university/college students to orient to productive use of technology to serve the underserved. ISV SAWG called for ideas to address a community need and propose a solution by productive use of technology leading to potential livelihood opportunity.

From MMIT, 16 Proposals were submitted to IEEE Smart Village-IdeaRun 2024 by 14th September 2024.  The IdeaRun Team responded with the mail on 7th October 2024 mentioning that 4 out of 16 Proposals have found place in Top 50 at South Asia Level.

The Main Guide of this process was Dr Monika Dangore-Faculty Advisor, MMIT IEEE Club. Prof Dinesh Satre acted as the Co-Guide.  For the participants, it was a new learning experience.  They learned to address the issues faced by villagers through use of technology.

These Top-50 Rankers were felicitated by the hands of IEEE Pune Section Chair Dr Amar Buchade on 17th Janaury 2025 on the occasion of Inauguration of MMIT IEEE Student Branch.
